I've been working so hard on Alex Sullivan's story. It's funny how, when writing a series, you get to love a character so much that when you get around to writing "his" book, you feel pressure to make it a really good one. Like he's so terrific a person, he deserves something really spectacular.
In reality, all the books I write should be the best I can do, but from the moment he opened his mouth in Chapter One of On the Surface, Alex has always been a favorite of mine.
